Decision matrix
Start with the appliance type, target markets, user tasks, control electronics, enclosure, exposure and assembly plan. The membrane interface can support the user control surface, but it does not establish appliance or functional safety, EMC, an enclosure rating, food-contact status, flame performance or final product approval.

Start with the evidence you have now. Open items stay visible for engineering follow-up instead of becoming silent quotation assumptions.
No. HYR can define the identified component contacts, legends, circuit and physical interface to an approved drawing and agreed component checks. The appliance organisation remains responsible for the applicable product requirements, control architecture and safety-related behaviour, abnormal-operation and EMC evaluation, enclosure construction and protection tests, and finished-appliance approval. An IP classification applies to the tested enclosure configuration, not an unmounted interface alone.
Name each cleaner or substance, concentration or mixture, application method, contact time, temperature and frequency, including the direction and possible routes to edges, windows, seams and the tail exit. Review the proposed overlay, ink, adhesive and mounted construction with a named method and acceptance basis. A generic chemical-resistance statement does not establish performance on the actual appliance, and any food-contact claim needs separate product-specific evidence.
Evaluate the identified revision in the production-representative enclosure with the real display, lighting, controller and assembly process. Confirm colour and finish under the agreed lighting, powered windows and indicators, key mapping and feedback, foreseeable accidental actuation, fit, bond, edges, tail route, connector and the named cleaning, heat or moisture checks. Record the specimen, configuration, method, conditions and results; this does not by itself approve appliance safety, functional safety, EMC, food-contact, flame performance or enclosure protection.
